Tinubu Tasks Service Chiefs At First Meeting

President Bola Tinubu has urged the newly appointed service chiefs to work as a team, underscoring that there is work to be done.
Tinubu made the remark when he met the new National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu and the new service chiefs for the first time on Monday, since their appointment on June 19, 2023. In a chat with State House correspondents, the NSA conveyed the President’s assurances to the service chiefs that they have his unwavering support.

Mr Bola Babarinde, a former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), South Africa Chapter, has commended the reconciliatory effort of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and his immediate past predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Babarinde in a statement on Monday, commended Sanwo-Olu for attending Ambode’s 60th birthday party and praising him for his dedication to serving Lagos state as governor and civil servant.
Woman Sets Policewoman, Children Ablaze In Anambra

A woman, identified as Nnaemaka Nwosu, has allegedly set a policewoman and her two children ablaze in Anambra State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday at Nnokwa community in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The suspect, who hailed from Amawbia was said to have been divorced by her husband and shortly after became homeless and in dire need of accommodation, before she confided in the policewoman who offered her accommodation in her apartment.

Pope Francis has condemned the burning of the Koran at a recent incident in Stockholm when two men burned a copy of the Muslim holy book.
“I feel angry and disgusted by these actions,” he said. Local media reported on Monday.
