The lawyer to the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Levi Uzoukwu has revealed that the electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission, are not prepared to defend the case which was filed against them at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Levi Uzoukwu made this revelation known to the public while speaking with some newsmen during the court premises on Monday, shortly after the court had adjourned its resumed sitting, following the absence of the first witness from INEC, where he said that his camp has a strong case, and they are ready to move on with the case, unlike the electoral body that has continued to show nonchalant inconsistencies.

According to the lawyer to the Labour Party, he said, “Given the contradictions and inconsistencies of what INEC has done, I am sure they are not ready to defend this case at the tribunal”.

Not only that, he also added by saying, “I stand to be proven wrong, but I would wish that they defend this matter so that the public will see more things of what happened during the election”.
