In recent court proceedings, Peter Okoye, one half of the renowned Nigerian music duo P-Square, shed light on internal financial disputes within the group. Peter revealed that upon requesting access to the financial statements detailing the monthly revenue generated from their albums, his twin brother, Paul Okoye, responded by deferring the matter to their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.
Peter recounted that Paul stated, “You know I don’t have a say. Go and meet Jude,” and promised to discuss the matter with Jude but did not follow through. Subsequent attempts by Peter to obtain the financial records were met with resistance, leading him to suspect mismanagement of funds. These suspicions culminated in legal action, with Peter testifying against Jude in a case involving alleged misappropriation of ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59 in royalties.
