President Bola Tinubu has rejected the final report on the 2023 general elections that was presented by the European Union Election Observation Mission. According to the report published by the Sun, the president said that the report focused heavily on the disruptions in less than 1000 polling units, adding that it should explain how the conclusions in the report were reached when it sent only 40 observers to monitor elections in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In the statement that was issued by Mr. Dele Alake, the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, the president stated that the presidential election was the most credible, peaceful and best-organized election in Nigeria since 1999.

He also noted that the EU-EOM didn’t provide enough evidence to back up the claim that the election was fraudulent, adding that the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) sent out 1000 observers to monitor the same election and they gave a more accurate assessment.
