President Bola Tinubu came back to Abuja from Lagos on Sunday afternoon. He had been gone for thirteen days, going to Paris for the Summit on the New Global Financing Pact.

You may remember that the President left Abuja on June 20 to go to Paris for the Summit on the New Global Financing Pact.

He went back to Nigeria on Tuesday, June 27, but went straight to Lagos to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir at his home in Ikoyi.

President Tinubu took part in the signing of the New Global Financing Pact in Paris while he was away from Abuja. During the main event, he also took part in other diplomatic talks.

During his time in Paris, he met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysée, Swiss President Alain Berset at Palais Brongniart, President of the Benin Republic Patrice Talon, Director General of the World Trade Organization Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and President of the African Development Bank Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina.

Prof. Benedict Oramah, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Export-Import Bank (Afrexim), and Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), were among the other people he talked to.

On Saturday, June 24, he went on a secret trip from Paris to London, UK, where he met with former President Muhammadu Buhari.

While he was in Lagos, he celebrated Eid-el-Kabir with other Muslims and met with the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo.

About 2:30 p.m., he arrived at the Presidential Suite of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
