Otti”/>
The Abia State Government has provided an explanation for why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’ s portraits are not present in all of its offices, according to PM .
The governor, Dr. Alex Otti, rejected the idea that Tinubu’ s absence was a result of his administration’ s failure to recognize him as the country’ s leader.
Note that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) pronounced Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the victor of the February 25 election, despite the reasonable concerns expressed about the alleged anomalies in the 2023 presidential election.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 6, 984, 520 votes, and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, who received 6, 101, 533 votes, were defeated by Tinubu, who received a total of 8, 794, 726 votes.
Otti was responding to web reports about the lack of the president’ s portraits in several Government House offices.
The state administration has the president’ s photos in some offices but not all, according to the governor’ s special adviser on media and publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, who also indicated that the same is true of the governor.
Most offices lack the governor’ s portrait because this is a new administration. After placing our original order, we placed further orders for pictures. Politics have no bearing on the situation.
” We still had the former Governor Ikpeazu’ s image in the banquet hall on the day the governor met with permanent secretaries.
” To declare that the president who was lawfully sworn in will not be recognized is illegal. According to Ekeoma, who was quoted by the Daily Trust, ” It doesn’ t make sense, and we don’ t think it is in that way.
He claimed that the opposition in the sate must have funded the media claims to such effect in order to harm Governor Otti.
