A lady has written the Lagos State Government how she got a text message from the Vehicle Inspection Service of the Lagos State government to pay a fine for not having road worthiness certificate for a car she bought as brand new.
She said she though a new car should be used for at least five years before it should get road worthiness certificate.

She added that the car she was driving was a brand new one, saying that the message described her as a “first offender”, and that she must pay the fine
According to the lady, she went to the centre and was told that despite being a new car, she was supposed to obtain road worthiness certificate for the car.
