Israel made this statement during a meeting with party leaders and youth. He said, “I know the effort we put into this election. Many of us lost friends because we supported Tinubu, but we are happy he won the election. Many of us lost loved ones because they did not believe in our path and the candidates we chose to support. But we stand firmly behind our Jagaban, and we cannot talk about his victory without mentioning everyone in this hall. We all made sacrifices of money, blood, and tears for this success. A true Lagosian and a fantastic Yoruba man have become the President of Nigeria.”
