VDM Accuses EFCC of Unauthorized iCloud Access, Threatens Legal Action

Nigerian activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has publicly accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of unauthorized access to his personal data. In a video statement, VDM expressed concerns about the potential misuse of his data and warned the EFCC against releasing his mugshot with labels suggesting involvement in money laundering. He emphasized that such actions would compel him to initiate legal proceedings against the agency.

VDM also highlighted the importance of integrity in the EFCC’s operations, stating that misrepresentation could undermine public trust in the agency’s activities. He urged the EFCC to handle his case transparently and avoid disseminating misleading information.

As of now, the EFCC has not publicly responded to VDM’s allegations. The situation underscores the need for clear protocols regarding the handling of personal data during investigations to protect individuals’ rights and maintain public confidence in law enforcement agencies.
