Old Prophecy About VeryDarkMan Resurfaces After Arrest by EFCC
Social media has been set ablaze with reactions after an old prophecy by Pastor Swieve C. Christian about popular activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), resurfaced following his controversial arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The prophecy, originally posted on Facebook on April 22, 2025, warned the outspoken activist about looming danger. The pastor wrote:…….CONTINUE READING
“A young man known as VDM, if you are not careful, in coming days, the police and situations will make caricature of you. Tread carefully, a snare is by the side.”
The prophetic message, largely ignored at the time, has now gone viral after VDM was arrested in Abuja at the headquarters of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank). According to eyewitnesses, VDM had accompanied his mother to the bank to resolve an issue involving unauthorized withdrawals from her account when EFCC officials stormed the premises and forcefully took him away.
Following the arrest, Pastor Swieve reshared the prophecy, reiterating his concerns and calling for prayers on VDM’s behalf. He posted:
“Make una pray for my brother oh… no matter what. We don’t play! So stop playing but pray… where are the group of ‘he edited it’?”
The resurfacing of the prophecy has stirred widespread debate online, with many Nigerians expressing shock at the perceived accuracy and timing of the warning. While some believe it’s a divine message, others remain skeptical, calling for deeper investigations into the activist’s arrest.
As of now, neither GTBank nor the EFCC has released an official statement addressing the incident. VDM’s supporters are demanding transparency, especially amid claims that the arrest was politically motivated due to his outspoken nature.
The incident has also reignited concerns about freedom of expression in Nigeria, with many urging for better protection of human rights defenders and activists.
