In response to this development, Nigerian pastor Apostle Arome Osayi of the Remnant Christian Network shared his perspective on the transfer of church leadership within families. Citing John 1:12–13, he emphasized that ministry is not hereditary and should be based on divine calling rather than familial ties. He stated, “In the work of the ministry, divinity overrides biology,” highlighting that natural descent and human decisions are insufficient for spiritual leadership.

Apostle Osayi further elaborated that his own family members are involved in ministry only if they personally respond to a divine calling, not merely due to their relationship with him. He noted that his wife did not assume a leadership role immediately but developed her ministry through personal spiritual growth and commitment.

This discourse reflects broader conversations within Christian communities about the principles guiding leadership succession and the importance of individual calling in ministry roles.
