Foden, deployed in a new role, was actively involved throughout the match. However, he struggled to leave a huge impact before being substituted.

Kane appeared off his game for much of the evening. On several occasions, he seemed to be out of position in the box, which was uncharacteristic for the usually reliable striker.

Although he was unlucky to receive a booking, Kane will need to step up his game if England hopes to reach the final.

Trippier showed determination and contributed effectively in both defense and attack.
