During a recent political discussion, Senator Sani expressed his concern, stating:

“If the opposition parties refuse to come together and form an alliance or coalition, it is a done deal for us (APC).”

The Senator’s remarks highlight the need for collaboration between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and Social Democratic Party (SDP) if they hope to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming elections.

Atiku Abubakar, on his part, has reiterated his commitment to forming a pan-Nigerian coalition. Dismissing rumors of his possible defection from the PDP, Atiku emphasized the necessity of a united front to unseat the APC government.

Prominent political analyst Kenneth Okonkwo also weighed in, stating that without a coalition, Tinubu would easily secure victory, likening it to “walking into re-election without opposition.”
