Asari Dokubo, a former leader of the Niger Delta militants, has responded to the appeal made by Peter Obi and the Labour Party to the Presidential Election appeal Tribunal. They are challenging the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the presidential election held on February 25.
During a live broadcast, Asari Dokubo expressed his disbelief that anyone would think Peter Obi had a chance of winning the election. He also mentioned that Peter Obi had already resolved the legal matter. However, Dokubo pointed out that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was still in court, and he suggested that Nigerians would soon discover the truth about whether Peter Obi had received 500,000 votes or more once all the fraudulent ballots had been counted.
In his words: “How could anybody believe Peter Obi could win the election? We will then see whether Obi’s votes will be up to 500,000 at the end of the day after they delete all the fraudulent votes after he (Obi) has closed his case in court and APC has opened their case.”
