As earlier reported by this platform, the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu met with the leadership of the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) at the Jogor Centre, opposite Liberty Stadium on Liberty Road, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.
The APC flagbearer met with Muslim leaders from the South West geo-political zone to seek their support ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking at the occasion, the League of Imams and Alfas through President-General, League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere Bello
highlighted what they would want from Tinubu if he eventually emerges as the next President of the country in 2023.
According to them, they would want the APC candidate to address issues surrounding insecurity (kidnappings), unemployment, and ethnic rivalry.
Bello said: “There have been kidnapping cases in the country. Please help us to tackle it.
“Secondly, our children have gone to school, they have graduated, and most of them have no jobs. We want you to help us to provide jobs for them when you get there.
“We also want you to help us to tackle the problem of ethnic rivalries in the country. This is our third request.”
